Introduction

MACK is a property management company that has a vision to be the leading force in providing a diverse range of safe, inclusive, and sustainable accommodation for all. To support our accommodation services, we also operate nationwide, delivering catering and laundry services.

The role

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, tidy, and welcoming environment for our accommodation service-users. The successful candidate will be required to support the existing housekeeping team with their day-to-day activities which will involve working in various areas of the site, including rooms, hallways, stairways, reception and communal areas. This role requires standing for long periods, bending, and lifting.

Key Responsibilities

Clean guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, changing bed linens, cleaning bathrooms, and disinfecting surfaces.
Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, drinking glasses, and writing materials.
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of common areas, such as reception, hallways, stairways and general communal areas.
Handle requests for extra supplies or services promptly and courteously.
Follow Health and Safety regulations and guidelines for the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management immediately.

Skills and Experience

At least 1-years’ experience in a housekeeping role is required.
Attention to detail and a commitment to high standard of cleanliness.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift heavy items.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Other Considerations:

This role is working 18 hours a week over 4 days, including weekends.

Working Conditions: The role involves standing for extended periods and performing repetitive tasks. Exposure to cleaning chemicals cleaning equipment.

Please note: This role requires a fixed working pattern of more than 20 hours per week. Due to legal working hour restrictions, we are unable to consider applicants who are not permitted to work these hours under UK immigration rules.
