Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Lifeguard and Leisure Assistant to ensure the safety and well-being of all club visitors. The ideal candidate will be committed to maintaining a secure environment, providing excellent customer service, and responding swiftly to emergencies. This paid position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic aquatic setting, promoting safety and enjoyment for all patrons.

Duties

Monitor swimming areas, changing rooms, gym and club as a whole
Enforce club rules and regulations to ensure compliance and safety for all visitors
Respond promptly and effectively to guests and users
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of all areas, including safety equipment checks
Provide clear communication to patrons regarding safety procedures and policies
Assist with organising swimming lessons or aquatic programmes as required
Complete regular safety inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly

Requirements

Pool responder / Lifeguard certification would be ideal or willing to gain
Proven compliance management skills to uphold safety standards and protocols
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with visitors, colleagues, and emergency services
Prior experience as a lifeguard is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond swiftly during emergencies
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required
