Full job description

Overview
This is a part time seasonal role up to the beginning of November 2026

10-15 hours per week depending on workload.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing excellent service to both pets and their owners. This role is essential in ensuring the well-being of the animals in our care and maintaining a clean and safe environment. Ability to work weekends essential.

Must be local as morning and afternoon shifts required

Duties

Provide daily care for animals, including cleaning and exercising.
Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas, ensuring a hygienic environment.
Monitor the health and behaviour of animals, reporting any concerns to senior staff.
Perform heavy lifting as required for cleaning tasks and moving animals safely.

Experience

Prior experience in animal care is preferred but not essential
Ability to perform heavy lifting and engage in physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
A genuine love for animals and commitment to their welfare is crucial.
Own transportation essential as the business is not on a bus route
Able to reliably work alone and as part of a team
