Summary & Responsibilities
We are seeking an organised and proactive Asphalt Planner to join our team. This is a key role responsible for coordinating asphalt production and delivery schedules to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. You'll work closely with customers, site teams, production staff, transport, and commercial colleagues to deliver excellent service while maximising operational efficiency.
- Plan and schedule daily asphalt production and deliveries.
- Coordinate with customers to confirm delivery requirements and respond to changing priorities.
- Liaise with production, transport, and site teams to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Monitor order progress and adjust schedules to minimise delays and maximise productivity.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate planning records and update internal systems.
- Resolve scheduling issues quickly and communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes and customer service.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of the Asphalt Planner will be able to demonstrate proven experience working within an Industrial, or similar environment, ideally have knowledge of Asphalt Production as well as possess good communication skills and have a real desire in developing their skills.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a planning, scheduling, or logistics role.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
