Vauxhall, London · £30,000 base + excellent commission (OTE £80,000) ·

£30,000 base, an on-target package of £80,000, and a genuine path to Account Executive based on results, not tenure. About Meter

Meter is a UK leader in IoT smart metering and monitoring. We gather millions of data points every day to help some of the country's largest organisations (airports, universities, NHS trusts, retailers, and commercial property portfolios) understand and cut their water, gas, and electricity consumption through better data.

We're growing fast, and we're looking for a driven Business Development Representative to join our commercial team. This is where new business starts. You'll open conversations with decision-makers at major organisations, qualify real opportunities, and learn how complex B2B deals are structured and won, working alongside experienced colleagues on live deals from day one.

This is not a "sit and dial" job. It's a foot in the door of a fast-moving sector that matters, with real ownership from the start.

A commercial mindset: you understand that generating revenue is what makes everything else possible

What you'll do

Research and identify new client opportunities across commercial property, infrastructure, retail, and the public sector
Reach out proactively by email, LinkedIn, and phone to open conversations with decision-makers
Qualify leads and book meetings and demos for senior colleagues
Support proposals, tenders, and commercial discussions as you develop
Manage your pipeline in our CRM, keeping your activity and data clean and current
Build real knowledge of smart metering, utility data, and the UK non-household water and energy markets
Attend client meetings and learn first-hand how large, complex deals get won
