About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Waste Collection Van Driver to join our team. This role involves driving a collection van on scheduled routes while also assisting with the loading and handling of waste materials. You will work as part of a small crew, alongside a dedicated driver’s mate, to ensure efficient and safe waste collection services.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate a waste collection van on designated routes
Assist with loading and unloading waste materials when required
Work closely with your driver’s mate to complete collections efficiently
Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations at all times
Provide a professional and courteous service to customers and the public

Requirements:

Valid driving licence (appropriate category for van driving)
Good level of physical fitness, as the role involves manual handling
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
Previous experience in waste collection or a similar role is desirable but not essential
