Qualified Lifeguards – Sandcastle Waterpark, Blackpool

Are you 18 or older and looking for a rewarding, active role?

Do you hold a valid NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)?

Join the Sandcastle Waterpark team as a Lifeguard and play a key part in keeping our guests safe while helping them have an unforgettable experience.

Our Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring safety across our pools, waterslides, and attractions, as well as delivering exceptional guest service throughout every visit.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From £13.45 per hour

Requirements

Must hold a NPLQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)
Strong swimmer, capable of swimming a minimum of 50 metres
Able to tread water
Can dive into the deepest part of the pool (up to 1.8 metres)
Can swim breaststroke and front crawl to an adequate standard
Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team

Desirable

Knowledge of water safety procedures

Responsibilities

Constantlymonitorswimming areas toidentifypotential hazards or unsafe behaviour.
Enforce pool rules and regulations to promote safety and prevent accidents.
Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies, providing first aid asrequired.
Maintain clear communication with pool visitors, staff, and emergency services when necessary.
Conduct regular safety checks of the pool area, including equipment and surroundings.
Assistwith organising swimming lessons or aquatic programmes if needed.
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the pool deck and surrounding areas.

Experience

Previousexperience as a lifeguard or in a similar role
Knowledge of compliance management related to health and safety standards isadvantageous.
Strong communicationskills are essential for effective interaction with visitors and team members.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond efficiently during emergencies is vital. This position offers an engaging environment dedicated to community safety, requiring a proactive individual committed to upholdinghigh standardsof vigilance and care.
