Audiebant Ltd designs and installs professional communication and safety systems used in schools, colleges, healthcare environments and commercial buildings across the UK.
Our systems include lockdown communication systems, public address systems, emergency communication platforms and integrated safety technologies designed to protect people and places.
Due to continued growth and new projects nationwide, we are looking to recruit an Installation Engineer to join our expanding engineering team.
You will work alongside a Lead Installation Engineer, supporting the installation of professional audio and communication systems at client sites across the UK.

The Role
As an Installation Engineer, you will support the delivery of installation projects across a wide range of sites including schools, colleges, universities and commercial environments.
Working as part of a two-person engineering team, you will assist with installing equipment, running cabling, mounting devices and helping bring systems into operation.
This is a hands-on role with opportunities to develop technical skills and progress within the business.
Due to the nature of installation projects, overnight stays and travel across the UK will be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Lead Installation Engineer with system installations at client sites
- Running and terminating cabling (speaker, data and control cabling)
- Installing speakers, control panels, microphones and other communication equipment
- Assisting with equipment mounting, containment installation and system setup
- Helping prepare equipment and materials prior to installation
- Supporting system testing and commissioning activities
- Ensuring installations are completed safely and to a high standard
- Maintaining a professional and customer-friendly presence on site
- Assisting with site documentation, photographs and handover information where required
Skills and Experience
We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds including AV, electrical, telecoms, security systems or data cabling.
Essential
- A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Good practical / hands-on skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence (or working towards)
- Comfortable working away from home when required
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience within AV, electrical installation, data cabling or security systems
- Experience using tools and working on construction or installation sites
- ECS / CSCS card
- Basic understanding of structured cabling or low-voltage systems
Full training will be provided.
Additional Requirements
Due to the environments we work in:
- An Enhanced DBS check will be required (or must be obtained)
- A professional attitude when working in schools and public buildings is essential
