This role matters: As your local Hospice, Community Fundraising plays a key role in supporting our generous community with their fundraising events, whilst raising vital income that directly supports the care we provide. We are looking for someone who is passionate, driven and committed to the work of the Hospice, could this be you?

Our Fundraising team support a wide variety of community events, from our popular Overseas Treks to sky dives, coffee mornings and much more! As the Hospice for North Lancashire, the South Lakes and parts of North Yorkshire, you will spread the message about our work across this very same area, supporting loyal fundraisers with their own events, and developing new income sources – this role is perfect for someone who loves variety, adventure, has strong organisational skills and relishes building relationships.

You will be based out of our Fundraising office at the main Hospice in Lancaster, however as part of this role you will travel to events across the area we serve. It is essential that you hold a full UK manual driving licence, have access to a vehicle during working hours with business insurance. You will be entitled to claim out of pocket expenses (mileage and parking) in accordance with our policy.

Key info:

Location: Based from St John's Hospice, Lancaster
Hours: 28 to 35 per week
Pay is based on 35 hours / week, dependent on pension scheme
Holidays: 7 weeks per annum (pro rata)
Pension: 8% SJH employer funded or NHS pension subject to eligibility
Closing date: Sunday 13th September 2026.
Interview date: Friday 25th September 2026

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check. The cost of this check is currently £54.30 and this will be deducted from the successful applicants first salary payment.
