Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team in Hambleton, Poulton-Le-Fylde and Blackpool. This role involves hands-on work in landscape maintenance, contributing to the upkeep and enhancement of outdoor spaces. Responsibilities
- Carry out landscape maintenance activities including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
- Operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers safely and efficiently.
- Use hand tools for planting, digging, edging, and other gardening tasks.
- Maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution across landscaped areas.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Support general gardening activities including soil preparation
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects within specified timeframes while adhering to safety standards.
- Ensure you have all materials needed such as fuel, oils etc
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery and equipment used in outdoor maintenance.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems.
- Experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery is desirable.
- Knowledge of construction practices related to outdoor environments is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift moderate loads as required.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for operating company equipment.
- A proactive attitude with excellent teamwork skills and attention to detail.
