What This Role Actually Is
You will be the creative voice of this business across social media. You will spend time on site with our engineers filming real jobs, real customers, and real moments. You will spend time in the office filming the team, the process, and the culture behind what we do.
Then you will edit all of it into content that makes people stop, watch, and pick up the phone.
This is not a role where you sit at a desk scheduling posts someone else created. You create everything. You own the output. You decide what works and what does not.
We are also going through an exciting rebrand later this year. You will be part of that from the inside. The planning, the reveal, the whole story captured and told your way.
What You Will Be Doing
Filming on site with engineers - installations, servicing, customer interactions, and genuine behind the scenes moments
Filming in the office - team culture, processes, customer calls, and how we operate day to day
Editing short and long form content using CapCut - TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and YouTube
Producing at least one long form YouTube video per week on a specific planned subject
Managing and growing our presence across all platforms consistently
Planning seasonal content ahead of time - air conditioning in summer, boilers in winter, service reminders in between
Creating graphics, thumbnails, and static posts using Canva Pro
Organising all content into clearly labelled folders in a shared cloud system - footage, edited videos, images, and published posts filed within 24 hours of filming. Everything findable, reusable, and never lost on a camera roll
Tracking performance across platforms and bringing insights back to the team
Coming to us with the plan, the ideas, and the direction. We are not your creative directors. You are.
What We Are Looking For
You have made content for a business or brand before - not just personal lifestyle content. You can show us real published work with real engagement.
Confident on camera and behind one - comfortable directing engineers and customers and making them feel at ease in front of a lens.
Fast editor - CapCut is your tool of choice. You create, post, and move on. You do not agonise over perfection.
Confident with Canva Pro for graphics, thumbnails, and social media visuals.
Commercially switched on - you understand that every piece of content should make someone more likely to call us. Not just look good.
Self directed - you bring us the content plan. You tell us what is needed and when. You do not wait to be told.
Organised - your files are clean, your folders are labelled, your content is always findable. A messy camera roll is not acceptable here.
Own transport beneficial - you will travel to local job sites, either in the company van with our engineers or independently. Mileage reimbursed at the HMRC approved rate when using your own vehicle.
Passionate about what you do - this cannot be just another part time job for you.
What We Offer
- £13 to £14.50 per hour depending on experience
- Three days per week -Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday typically
- Hours - 8.30am to 4.30pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break, 21 paid hours per week
- 17 days holiday per year including bank holidays pro rata
- Your birthday off if it falls on a working day
- PAYE employed position - not freelance, not self employed
- All equipment provided - iPhone, stabiliser, wireless microphone, lighting, and CapCut Pro
- Canva Pro account provided
