Job Description:
As a Site Senior Security Controller, you’ll support the delivery of physical and procedural security activities across the Warton site, helping to protect people, information, assets and facilities.
Working as part of a small team of security professionals, you’ll provide security advice, support operational security activities and work closely with site stakeholders to ensure security risks are effectively managed. You’ll also deputise for the Site Head of Security and play a key role in maintaining compliance with security policies, standards and regulatory requirements.
Core duties:
- Support the delivery of physical and procedural security operations across the Warton site
- Work with the Site Security Manager and Guard Force to ensure security risks are identified, managed and mitigated
- Provide security advice and support to site stakeholders across a range of operational activities
- Identify opportunities to improve security processes, controls and compliance activities
- Deputise for the Site Head of Security when required
- Participate in the on-call security management rota and support security incident response activities
Essential Skills:
- Experience working within a Facility Security Controlled (FSC) environment, MOD establishment or comparable regulated security environment
- Experience supporting security operations within a high-security or high-risk organisation
- Knowledge of Government Security Policy Frameworks including GovS 007, JSP440 and FSC security requirements
- Demonstrable security practitioner experience gained through positions of increasing responsibility
- Completion of, or willingness to undertake, relevant NPSA Physical Security training and development
The Warton Operational Security team:
The Warton Operational Security team is a small, highly collaborative group responsible for supporting security operations across one of BAE Systems’ most significant sites. The team works closely with site leadership, operational teams and security partners to ensure people, information and assets remain protected while supporting day-to-day business activities. The role offers exposure to a broad range of security activities and the opportunity to contribute to the continuous improvement of site security arrangements
