Maintenance/Handy Person Operative.
Point 20 - 21 (£25,916.80 - £26,717.60 pro rata) 30 hours per week (with additional hours up to 35 if and when needed.)

Digartref Cyf is a local registered homelessness charity delivering a range of homeless prevention services across the Isle of Anglesey and the Bangor area of Gwynedd.
The post holder will need to have an understanding of the needs of our service users and always maintain professional boundaries.
The role will be key to ensuring the properties/buildings used to deliver Digartref Cyf’s services are maintained to a high standard, are safe, clean and well kept.
Working across various sites the post holder will need to be responsive, able to cover the geographical area in which the charity operates, provide efficient, safe and effective maintenance/handyperson service. Have a high level of practical skills (basic plumbing, joinery, painting, general repairs, gardening) and the ability to carry out works required to a high standard,
We are particularly interested in seeking applications (although not exclusively) from people who have lived experience of homelessness.
Ideally applicants should demonstrate:
- Experience in maintenance and or a handyperson role, repairing & maintaining buildings/properties, gardens & grounds
· Experience in using hand tools and electrical equipment
· Good communication and organisational skills
· A knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety issues
- The ability to work alone, prioritise work effectively, whilst also being an effective team member
· The ability to undertake & complete work to a high standard/quality, with an eye for detail
· The ability to always maintain professional boundaries/relationships with service users
- The ability to interact positively with residents, staff, visitors and external agencies to build helpful working relationships
· The ability and willingness to follow instruction and undertake training provided
· The ability to drive a van, and hold a full and valid driving licence (a company van will be provided)
- The ability to communicate effectively through the medium of Welsh and English or the willingness to learn
- The successful candidate will require an enhanced DBS check that will be processed by Digartref Cyf
