Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Plant Fitter to join our team. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in plant maintenance, and equipment repair. The successful candidate will gain valuable skills in mechanical systems, working closely with experienced technicians to develop their expertise. Duties
- Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of plant machinery and equipment
- Support
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as excavators, forklifts, and other heavy machinery
- Assist with equipment calibration, testing, and preventive maintenance programmes
- Support the repair and servicing of mechanical components including gears, belts, and hydraulic systems
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure safety standards are met
- Participate in training sessions to develop skills
Experience
- No prior experience necessary; suitable candidates will be trained on the job
- Basic understanding of mechanical
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic fabrication techniques is desirable
- Willingness to undertake lifting and physical tasks as required
- Good organisational skills with an ability to follow instructions carefully
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and quality standards
