Job Summary

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Kitchen Porter and become an essential part of delivering exceptional dining experiences. In this lively role, you will support the kitchen operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for both staff and guests, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant or hotel establishment. Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, utensils, and equipment to uphold health and safety standards
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing vegetables, peeling, and portioning ingredients under supervision
Support chefs and kitchen staff by organizing supplies and ensuring ingredients are readily available for cooking
Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling procedures are followed to keep the kitchen tidy
Help with serving food in dining areas when needed, ensuring smooth service flow
Follow hygiene protocols diligently to prevent contamination and maintain a safe working environment
Support in setting up and clearing down after service periods, including dishwashing duties

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key. All necessary training can be provided.
Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues
Good understanding of health and safety regulations related to food handling and hygiene practices
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
A genuine interest in hospitality and delivering excellent guest service
