Full job description

Wilson Associates Ltd are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Machinist (Setting and Operating) / Burner for our client based in Stanley Co. Durham

Job Title – CNC Machinist (Setting and Operating)

Location – Stanley

Main Duties

· Efficiently set up CNC machines based on job specifications.

· Operate and monitor burners and furnaces to ensure proper heating, melting, or cutting of materials such as metals.

· Operate CNC machines to produce precision components within tolerances.

· Monitor machine performance, making adjustments for optimal production.

· Read and interpret technical drawings;

· Check first offs

· Conduct in-process inspections, and troubleshooting issues to ensure quality standards.

· Collaborate with engineering for design feedback and continuous improvement.

· Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines for optimal functionality.

· Maintain accurate records of setups, tool changes, and production runs.

Requirements:

· Proven CNC Machinist experience. (Experience with Haas & Hurco Machines preferred)

· Proven Burner experience.

· Proficient in reading technical drawings.

· Strong troubleshooting skills and commitment to high-quality work.

· Solid understanding of machine tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds.

· Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

· Experience programming and writing G codes (desirable)

This will be working on a 2 shift rotation, days and late shift

Job Types: Full-time, Temp to perm

Pay: £15.07 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

Stanley DH9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

CNC programming: 1 year (required)

United Kingdom (required)
