Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organised Part-time Till Sales Assistant to join our retail team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy engaging with customers and providing exceptional service. The ideal candidate will be proactive, and possess a keen eye for sales, ensuring a positive shopping experience for all visitors. This position is paid and perfect for those seeking flexible working hours to complement other commitments. Applicants must be able to work weekends.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases at the till
Operate the cash register efficiently, handling cash, card payments
Upsell products and promote special offers to maximise sales opportunities
Maintain tidy and well-stocked shelves, ensuring merchandise is displayed attractively in line with visual standards
Assist with stock organisation, replenishment, and inventory checks
Provide friendly assistance to customers seeking information about products or store services
Support in organising promotional displays and merchandising layouts
Ensure the checkout area remains clean, organised, and welcoming at all times

Skills

Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining excellent customer service standards
Good organisational skills to manage stock levels and maintain store presentation
Ability to work well within a team and independently when required
