Full job description

Hours: Weekdays and weekends on rota.

Shift options: 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our busy bakery team. This is a hands-on role where you'll support the daily production, preparation, packing, and presentation of our bakery products while maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the preparation and production of bakery items, confectionery, and cakes.
Measure and prepare ingredients according to recipes and production requirements.
Pack and label finished products for display and sale.
Help decorate baked goods as required.
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
Clean and sanitise work areas, equipment, and utensils.
Follow company procedures and health & safety guidelines.
Work efficiently as part of a team to meet daily production targets.

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a bakery, food production, or food service environment is preferred but not essential.
A passion for baking and food production.
Good attention to detail and the ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Good organisational and time management skills.
A positive attitude with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Understanding of food hygiene and food safety practices is an advantage.
