Loyal Bee Care is growing and we are seeking an efficient, dedicated and organised Clinical Care Lead to join our team who have recently been rated as outstanding in our CQC inspection. The successful candidate will play a vital role in overseeing and coordinating care services within the community, ensuring the delivery of high-quality senior care. This position offers an opportunity to lead our team, develop care plans, and foster positive relationships with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals. The ideal applicant will possess strong leadership and communication skills, along with experience in supervising staff and managing care operations. Would also suit an RGN, or someone with NHS experience.
Duties
Role-specific Duties:
The Clinical Care Lead responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Ensure service users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing
- To supervise staff and ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the service
- To organise and coordinate care delivery in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements and relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager and within the financial plans
- Ensure that the care service is delivered to service users at the times and for the duration specified in the relevant individual agreement(s) and contract standards
- To work within the agreed parameters of cost to the company in terms of miles accrued and travel time between service users
- To ensure that rotas are arranged in accordance with the staff work patterns including any annual leave
- To ensure that any client and staff absence is documented on the allocation system
- To ensure that any missed or late visits are recorded and monitored
- To update the system used for rostering in a timely manner to ensure that staff are paid correctly and service users are charged accurately. Communicate the changes to both staff and clients.
- Be responsible for promoting and protecting the welfare of those individuals supported by the service
- To participate in on-call duties as per the agreed rota which could involve every other weekend.
- To deliver home care to clients when needed and to step in with home care if there is sickness or a need within the rota to ensure the service is covered, including some weekends and evenings.
- To perform care reviews and act on the outcomes.
- To keep Care Plans and Risk Assessments up dated.
- Safeguarding responsibilities- Including recognising, reporting and escelating concerns.
- Completing staff supervisions/appraisals
- Recruitment support- interviewing/onboarding
- Working with Others:
- Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service
- Work in cooperation with members of the multidisciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for service users
Requirements
- Proven experience in senior or elderly care environments
- Supervising or leadership experience in a healthcare or social care context
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients, families, staff, and external agencies
- Driving licence is essential for coordinating off-site appointments or errands
- Knowledge of care planning processes and relevant regulatory frameworks
- Proficiency in IT systems for documentation, scheduling, and communication purposes
- Ability to organise workload efficiently whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Compassionate approach with a genuine interest in improving the quality of life for older adults
- Minimum Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivilent, experience in leadership and management.
- A sound knowledge and understanding of age related long term health conditions, advising and signposting, ensuring safe, effective care is being delivered
Pay: £30,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
