Hours: 07:30–16:00 (Approx.), 4 days out of 5, Monday to Friday
Breaks: 2 x 30-minute unpaid breaks per shift
Pay: £13.21 per hour standard. Enhanced rate of £16.51 per hour for hours worked between 20:00–06:00 or over 37.5 hours per week.
What You’ll Do
As a Packing Production Operative, you’ll be a key part of our friendly day shift packing team, ensuring our finished products are packed accurately and efficiently to specification and customer requirements. This is a hands-on role where attention to detail is essential. You’ll need to be IT literate and comfortable standing for most of your shift.
Key Responsibilities
Checking finished products for quality, ensuring correct size, shape, and compliance with product specifications
Packing finished products into boxes accurately and efficiently in line with product specifications
Placing full boxes onto the packing conveyor belt for taping, weighing, and labelling
Assembling boxes and changing tape reels and printer reels to keep packing operations running smoothly
Programming and setting up packing robots on relevant product lines, including optimising pastry spacing and rechecking products rejected by the robot
Palletising and wrapping completed boxes, preparing products for dispatch in line with specifications

Full training is provided. After successfully completing your probation period, you will gain:
Food Safety Level 2 certificate
