About the role
You will provide vital front-line support to the Income Management Team, helping to maximise income collection while ensuring tenants receive the support, they need to sustain their tenancies. The role involves working closely with colleagues, customers and external partners while managing financial processes, maintaining accurate records and resolving income related queries.
In this role, you will:
· Support the delivery of a high-quality Income Management Service, including effective rent collection for HRA properties and garages, and the proactive management of low-level arrears working alongside the rent officers.
· Monitor accounts, investigate and resolve income related queries, and ensure accurate allocation of payments
· Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to provide support, make referrals and help sustain tenancies

About you
To be successful, you’ll be/have:
· Experience working in an income collection, finance or housing environment, with knowledge of rent processes, Housing Benefit and Universal Credit
· Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload
· Excellent communication, customer service and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism

Salary: £28,072.00
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Base: Hybrid working - working from office, home, site and in the community as needed. Your base will be our main office in Chy Trevail, Bodmin, PL31 2FR. This role requires you to typically work from the office at least 2 days per week.
