- Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student achievement.
- Build positive relationships with students and contribute to their academic and personal development.
- Foster creativity, problem-solving skills, innovation, and practical design skills within Design and Technology.
- Support students in developing technical knowledge, design processes, and safe workshop practices.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school community.
- Engage with ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Uphold school policies and safeguarding procedures at all times.
- Passionate about inspiring and supporting young people aged 11–18.
- Committed to helping students develop confidence, resilience, and a love of learning.
- Motivated to develop their teaching practice and progress within the profession.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work collaboratively and build positive relationships.
- Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to obtain one.
- GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English Language and Mathematics.
- A-Level grades with a combined minimum of BCC, including at least a Grade B in Design and Technology, Product Design, Engineering, or a related subject.
- A 2:2 degree or above in Design and Technology, Product Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Architecture, or a closely related subject.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Previous experience working with young people in an educational, tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or similar setting is desirable.
