Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Fish Fryer to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking fish dishes to a high standard, ensuring food safety and quality are maintained at all times. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts, with a focus on delivering exceptional dining experiences. The Fish Fryer will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant by providing delicious, freshly cooked fish meals.

Responsibilities

Prepare fish and related ingredients according to specified recipes and standards
Cook fish and other ingredients
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of food preparation and handling
Assist with meal preparation for service periods, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
Organise and clean work stations regularly to uphold cleanliness standards in line with health regulations
Monitor cooking processes closely to prevent overcooking or undercooking of fish dishes
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy service times
Follow all safety procedures related to the use of kitchen equipment and hot surfaces

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen setting is essential
Experience with meal preparation involving fish or seafood is advantageous but not mandatory
Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, and ovens is desirable
Prior experience in serving or working in a customer-facing role can be beneficial for understanding guest expectations
