Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cabinet Maker/Installer to join our team. This role involves the fabrication and installation of bespoke cabinetry, requiring precision, craftsmanship, and a strong understanding of various construction techniques. The successful candidate will work on diverse projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and customer satisfaction. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for carpentry and joinery to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Fabricate custom cabinets and furniture according to specified designs and measurements
Assemble components using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques
Install cabinets securely on-site, ensuring alignment and stability
Measure spaces accurately to ensure precise fitting of cabinetry
Operate a variety of tools including saws, drills, sanders, and other carpentry equipment
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
Collaborate with clients and project managers to meet project specifications and deadlines
Perform minor repairs or adjustments during installation as required
Assist with other construction tasks such as roofing, plumbing, or masonry when needed

Skills

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and installation of cabinetry or similar furniture
Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, hammers, screwdrivers, and measuring devices
Competence in using power tools including saws, drills, sanders, and routers
Strong carpentry skills with knowledge of joinery techniques
Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
Physical strength for heavy lifting and manoeuvring large components safely
Basic understanding of construction painting, roofing, plumbing, masonry, or electrical systems is advantageous but not essential
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
