The Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated People Advisor to provide professional HR support to Headteachers, School Office Managers and leaders across our schools in Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Shrewsbury. As this is a multi-site role requiring frequent travel between schools, applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Trust's schools and hold a full UK driving licence with access to their own vehicle.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced people professional to join our growing central People Team as People Advisor. The successful applicant will initially work across existing schools in the area providing HR support to schools. As the Trust continues to expand, the role will evolve to support additional schools across the Trust.

The post holder will be an experienced HR professional with a proven track record of providing high-quality generalist HR advice and support across a range of people management matters. They will have relevant HR qualifications or equivalent professional experience. The role will involve providing timely and accurate HR advice to Headteachers and school-based managers, supporting the implementation of HR policies and procedures, assisting with employee relations casework, recruitment, attendance management and HR information reporting.

The post holder will work collaboratively with school leaders to ensure compliance with employment legislation, Trust policies and safer recruitment practices, whilst promoting best practice in people management. They will establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Trust and identify, develop and deliver training and guidance to school leaders and administrative staff to build management capability and support consistent HR practice.

The successful candidate will:

· Hold a CIPD Level 3 qualification as a minimum (Level 5 or working towards would be advantageous).

· Be able to work independently and with initiative

· Have excellent communication skills

· Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft programmes such as Excel and Word.

· Have a professional manner and be flexible in their approach

· Hold a full UK driving licence and be willing to travel regularly between Trust schools
