Senior Bartender / Bar Supervisor

Kaijah Lounge – Moston, Manchester
Full-time / Part-time

Job Description

Kaijah Lounge is a brand-new Afro-Southern grill and cocktail lounge opening in Moston, Manchester. We are seeking an Experienced / Senior Bartender / Bar Supervisor to lead our bar team, uphold licensing compliance (including Challenge 25), and ensure accurate bill handling and smooth service operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a confident hospitality professional who can combine mixology expertise with team supervision and operational precision.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise junior bar staff during shifts
Enforce Challenge 25 and ensure full compliance with UK licensing laws
Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and soft drinks to a high standard
Ensure accurate order entry, bill taking, and till/POS reconciliation
Oversee cash handling and minimise discrepancies
Maintain a clean, organised, and fully stocked bar
Monitor stock levels and support stock control procedures
Deliver fast, friendly, and professional customer service
Assist with training and mentoring new bar team members
Support management in maintaining service standards and atmosphere

Requirements

Minimum 2 years bar experience in a busy bar, lounge, or restaurant
Previous supervisory or senior bartender experience preferred
Strong knowledge of Challenge 25 and UK licensing laws
Proven experience operating POS/till systems accurately
Confident cocktail-making skills (classics and signature drinks)
Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, and cocktail presentation
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Reliable, professional, and well-presented
Available evenings and weekends

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: £12.80-£14.00 per hour
