We are seeking a dedicated Dental Prosthetic Technician specialising in Valplast to join our professional team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in creating high-quality dental prosthetics, ensuring optimal patient comfort and satisfaction. Duties
- Fabricate and assemble dental prosthetics, with a focus on Valplast materials, ensuring precision and quality standards are met.
- Interpret dental impressions, models, and prescriptions accurately to produce customised prosthetic devices.
- Maintain detailed records of work processes, materials used, and patient specifications for compliance and quality assurance.
- Collaborate with dental practitioners to adjust and refine prosthetics for optimal fit and function.
- Ensure all prosthetics are finished to the highest aesthetic standards, paying attention to colour matching and natural appearance.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations within the laboratory environment.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organised workspace and manage inventory of materials efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience or training in dental technology, particularly with Valplast or similar flexible denture materials.
- Strong understanding of patient care principles related to prosthetic dentistry.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with colleagues and patients.
- Basic IT skills for managing digital records and design software relevant to dental prosthetics.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of nursing or healthcare environments is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
