Freelance / Consultancy BasisNew 4-Bed Residential Children's Home Development

Parkhaven Children's Services Ltd is seeking an experienced Responsible Individual (RI), Operations Manager, Regional Manager, or senior residential childcare professional to support the development and registration of a new 4-bed residential children's home in Westhoughton, Greater Manchester.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in establishing a high-quality children's home from the ground up and supporting the provider through the Ofsted registration process.

Key Responsibilities

Support the registration of a new Ofsted-regulated children's home
Advise on compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
Support development of policies, procedures and governance systems
Assist with recruitment and onboarding of a Registered Manager
Provide operational and strategic guidance during setup
Support preparation for Ofsted registration interviews and inspections
Conduct quality assurance and compliance reviews
Potential opportunity to act as Responsible Individual following registration

Essential Requirements

Previous experience as a Responsible Individual, Operations Manager, Regional Manager or Registered Manager within residential childcare
Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards
Experience working with Ofsted-regulated children's homes
Strong safeguarding knowledge and leadership experience
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)

Desirable

Experience opening new children's homes
Experience supporting Ofsted registrations from initial application through approval
Experience achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

About the Home

The proposed home will provide a family-style residential setting for up to four children and young people within a well-presented residential property in Westhoughton.

The provider is committed to creating a safe, nurturing and stable environment where children can thrive while maintaining strong standards of safeguarding, care and regulatory compliance.
