We are looking for a site chemist to join our Bootle site.
General job Description:
This position will require you to work closely with the Senior Site Chemist and Site Supervisors to control the day-to-day operational aspects of the site.
This is a hands-on role and will involve preparation of inspection of incoming waste loads, some preparation of outgoing waste loads, identification of accurate and correct disposal routes for all waste streams, raising non-conformance reports, bulking and some laboratory work.
Training and support will be provided wherever necessary.
Other duties on site as necessary.
Duties will include but will not be limited to the following:
- Ensuring full compliance with the site permit
- Waste acceptance inspection and testing to determine identification and disposal/recycling routing Compliance with HSE segregation guidelines
- Safe operation of the site
- Waste re-packaging/bulking
- Raising any non-conformances within agreed time frames
- Receipt of paperwork onto the stock tracking/EA reporting log, and with the invoicing admin team, all to pre-agreed timeframes
- Laboratory testing of waste samples
- Safe use of FLT’s
- Periods of deputising for the Senior Site Chemist
- Preparation of Outgoing Loads to other waste facilities
A minimum of a HND in Chemistry or a related subject is required and forklift experience is desirable.
Salary is dependent on experience.
