The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the University of Edinburgh’s Health, Safety and Wellbeing Department. Following a restructure of the admin functions within the department this position shall report to the Business Support Lead (H&S). This position shall provide high-quality administrative, systems and committee support for the Health, Safety & Wellbeing Department, Health & Safety (H&S) section. Coordinate key workflows including shared mailbox triage, committee and meeting servicing, training/course administration, procurement/finance tasks, and digital and records content management. Ensure efficient, customer-focused service delivery aligned to University policies and Departmental procedures

Your skills and attributes for success:
- Vocational qualification (e.g. SVQ3/ONC) or equivalent experience in a relevant administrative role.
- Evidence of continuous professional development
- Strong administrative experience in a customer-facing setting with competing deadlines.
- Working knowledge of MS 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), document control and basic data reporting.
- Experience servicing meetings/committees (agendas, papers, minutes) with excellent written skills and clear professional communication.
- Experience raising/receipting POs and arranging travel within policy.
- Experience maintaining web/SharePoint/Teams content.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Numeracy and attention to detail for finance and data tasks.
Initiative and judgement to resolve routine problems independently.
