Job Overview:
We are looking for a highly organised, technically capable, and proactive Head of Marketing & Brand.
This is a key role within the business, responsible for developing and delivering Taskers' marketing and brand strategy.
Working closely with the Managing Director and wider leadership team, you will help drive business growth through effective brand management, customer acquisition, customer retention and marketing performance.
The successful candidate will be equally comfortable developing strategy and rolling up their sleeves to deliver campaigns, content and commercial initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Key Responsibilities
- Brand & Marketing Strategy.
- Develop and implement the annual marketing and brand strategy in line with business objectives.
- Maintain and strengthen the Taskers brand across all customer touchpoints.
- Ensure consistent messaging, visual identity and customer experience across retail, digital and offline channels.
- Identify opportunities to enhance brand awareness, customer engagement and market position.
- Monitor market trends, customer behaviour and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
Website & Shopify Management
- Full management and maintenance of Shopify and Shopify POS systems,
- Support store staff with POS troubleshooting and operational guidance, including occasional weekend support calls,
- Managing iPad procedures, hardware and software maintenance,
- Maintaining product meta fields and Search & Discovery filtration systems,
- Managing product badges, collection messaging, and customer journey workflows,
- Managing payment integrations and messaging including Klarna, ClearPay, Novuna Finance, Shop Pay, and similar platforms,
- Theme management, navigation structure, product templates, pricing visibility, and site availability settings,
- Supporting external developers and integrations, including BC/Shopify connection troubleshooting.
Campaign Planning & Delivery
- Plan, manage and deliver integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social media, email, print, radio, outdoor and in-store channels.
- Lead the marketing calendar, ensuring activity supports key trading periods, promotions and seasonal events.
- Work closely with buying, retail and ecommerce teams to maximise commercial opportunities.
- Manage campaign performance and continually optimise activity based on results and customer insights.
- Oversee promotional planning and support key sales-driving initiatives throughout the year.
Digital & Ecommerce Marketing
- Drive customer acquisition and online growth through digital marketing channels.
- Oversee social media, content creation, email marketing and CRM activity.
- Support the continued development of the ecommerce customer journey and online experience.
- Work with external partners and agencies to improve performance across SEO, paid media and digital campaigns.
- Identify opportunities to improve website traffic, conversion and customer engagement.
Customer Insight & Brand Development
- Use customer data, market research and competitor analysis to inform marketing decisions.
- Monitor industry trends and identify new opportunities for growth.
- Support the development of customer loyalty and retention initiatives.
- Ensure marketing activity remains customer-focused and commercially effective.
- Champion a strong and consistent customer experience across all touchpoints.
Budget & Performance Management
- Manage the marketing budget and ensure strong return on investment.
- Track and report on key marketing KPIs including sales performance, customer engagement, traffic and brand awareness.
- Produce regular performance reports and recommendations for the Managing Director.
- Analyse campaign results and provide actionable insights to improve future performance.
Team & Agency Management
- Manage and support the day-to-day activities of the marketing team.
- Brief and coordinate external agencies, designers, photographers, printers and media partners.
- Foster a collaborative and creative working environment.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.
Ideal Candidate:
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in a senior marketing role, ideally within retail, ecommerce, home, furniture or consumer sectors.
- Strong understanding of brand management and multi-channel marketing.
- Experience planning and delivering successful marketing campaigns.
- Good knowledge of digital marketing, social media, CRM, content creation and customer acquisition strategies.
- Experience managing marketing budgets and analysing campaign performance.
- Excellent communication, organisational and project management skills..
