Full job description

GTK are looking for a Graduate Costing engineer to join our growing team.

In this role you will work with key stakeholders within Sales, Engineering & Production to ensure the smooth efficient introduction of new and current cable assemblies. This role will ensure costing is accurate, tooling is correct, prototypes are built, and production efficiency improvements are identified. The roles are autonomous with support being provided from Sales & Production when required.

Core areas of the role
Working closely with the Business manager & Sales team to accurately cost and estimate the manufacture of custom assemblies using the customers' drawings and specifications (we are a build to print organization meaning we do not design assemblies)
Support the cost-efficient purchasing of components looking for opportunities to reduce our inventory costs
Liaise with Internal/ External Sales teams where required.
Raising a dealing with any issues that may arise during the costing process, ECRs and ECNs (Engineering change requests / notifications)

The ideal candidate will have:
At least a 2:1 Degree within engineering

Eye for detail
Ability to build strong relationships with other stakeholders within the business.
Strong Excel knowledge.
Excellent communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £30,000.00 per year
