EXPERIENCED BARTENDER / MIXOLOGIST & CELLAR OPERATIVE
Location: Ascot (SL5 7JF)
Pay: £14.50 - £16.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Part-Time / Full-Time Available
PRIORITY WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WITH PROVEN CELLAR MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE, DRAUGHT SYSTEM KNOWLEDGE AND STRONG COCKTAIL BARTENDING SKILLS.
Onyx Restaurant & Samaa Lounge are seeking an experienced hospitality professional with strong bartending, cocktail-making, customer service and cellar management experience.
This is a senior-level hospitality position and is not suitable for inexperienced applicants.candidates must have right to work in UK.
We are looking for reliable, committed individuals who can confidently manage bar operations, maintain cellar standards and help train junior team members.
Required Working Hours
Applicants must be available to work the following shifts:
Tuesday: 17:00 - 23:00
Wednesday: 17:00 - 23:00
Thursday: 17:00 - 23:00
Friday: 17:00 - 00:00
Saturday: 17:00 - 00:00
Sunday: 17:00 - 22:00
Weekend and evening availability is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wines, draught products and premium beverages
- Deliver exceptional customer service across both restaurant and lounge environments
- Support food and beverage service when required
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation
- Assist with stock control and stock rotation
- Train and support junior members of the team
- Ensure all opening and closing procedures are completed correctly
Cellar Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organised and compliant cellar
- Receive and check deliveries
- Manage stock rotation and stock levels
- Change beer and draught kegs safely and efficiently
- Monitor cellar temperatures and equipment
- Report maintenance issues promptly
- Minimise wastage through proper cellar management
- Ensure all draught products are maintained to company standards
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 2 years hospitality experience
- Previous bartending experience essential
- Cocktail and mixology knowledge
- Previous cellar management experience preferred
- Experience handling keg changes and draught systems
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Ability to work confidently during busy service periods
- Reliable transport and ability to travel to Ascot (SL5 7JF) for all scheduled shifts
- Commitment to working evenings, weekends and late finishes
