Initium Solutions Ltd is an SSAIB-certified Fire, Security & Electrical Specialist company providing professional installation, servicing, and maintenance of CCTV, intruder alarms, fire alarms, access control, gate and barrier systems, fibre optic and networking infrastructure, and electrical systems across domestic, commercial, leisure and educational sectors.
We are currently looking for a Fire & Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. The role includes installation, servicing, maintenance, and fault finding on a range of fire and security systems across a variety of sites. The ideal candidate will be reliable, motivated, and able to deliver high standards of workmanship and customer service. When working independently and working along side our friendly team.
A full UK driving licence is required. Competitive hourly rate dependent on experience, skill set and qualification. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and BS7858 security screening. We offer opportunities for overtime, progression, ongoing training. We also provide the use of a Company van.

Duties
- Install, commission, and maintain fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, gate and barrier automation and networking across multiple sites.
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to accurately assemble and troubleshoot complex systems.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment to carry out installations efficiently and safely.
- To work independently and as apart of a team.
- Conduct system testing, diagnostics, and repairs to ensure optimal operation of all security infrastructure.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project managers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, modifications, and maintenance activities for compliance purposes.
- Provide technical support and training to clients on the operation of installed systems.
- Follow all SSAIB rules and regulations and British standards.
- Adhere to all health and safety rules and regulations and complete risk assessments when needed.
- Have a strictly confidential professional manner.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in system design for fire safety or security systems is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with practical skills in using hand tools and power tools.
- Familiarity with schematics interpretation and electrical wiring standards.
- Experience working with construction teams during installation phases.
- Electrical experience or background in electrical engineering is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of construction processes related to installing fire safety or security infrastructure is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- ECS/CSCS preferred but not essential
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in fire safety, security systems, or electrical engineering are preferred but not mandatory.
