Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to run our manufacturing division. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, operating and maintaining Haas CNC machines. We specialise in producing precision one off parts and small batch components, primarily in Mild steel and stainless steel. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong mechanical background and experience in machining processes. The ideal applicant will demonstrate proficiency in CAD software, tooling, and hand tools, ensuring high-quality outputs aligned with technical specifications. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines to produce components according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Interpret CAD drawings and create relevant programmes.
- Perform turning and milling processes to achieve desired tolerances and surface finishes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities and quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and tooling equipment to modify or repair components as necessary.
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Assist in the development of tooling setups for different projects, ensuring efficiency and precision.
Experience
- Proven experience in operating CNC machinery within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in , programming, milling, turning, measuring with a CMM.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar programmes for programming CNC machines.
- Mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
- Experience working with tooling setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting CNC equipment is desirable.

Pay: £16.00-£20.00 per hour
