James Kemball is seeking a Transport Operations Supervisor to assist our Southampton branch.
Key Responsibilities:

Effective Route Planning and Operating of container trucks.

Experience working in Container transport.
-
Previous transport experience.
-
Proficiency in TOPS
-
Knowledge of driver’s rules and regulations and WTD.

Ability to communicate at all levels.
-
Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
-
Excellent communication skills.
-
Excellent levels of commitment and motivation.
-
Work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
-
Ability to question, challenge and improve upon existing processes.
Skills & Experience:
-
Ensuring Operator’s License and drivers hours legislation are adhered to.
-
Dealing with any issues that arise impacting operations, including traffic delays, breakdowns, accidents.

Managing drivers including agency drivers and subcontractors.

Alongside Fleet Department Maintain and action all defects immediately following the correct process and ensure any VOR vehicles are kept off the road until rectified
-
Work with customers to meet current and anticipated requirements to achieve service expectations.

Drive high standards and flag opportunities for process improvement.

To ensure constructive relationships with all customers are maintained and developed.

To undertake any duties as may reasonably be required.
