Rutland Pumps Ltd manufactures specialist cleaning equipment. We are looking for an experienced CNC machinist to programme, set and operate our Haas ST-10Y CNC Lathe and Haas Super Mini Mill on a part-time basis. Though for the right candidate full time is a possibility.
This role would suit someone who enjoys a varied workload, from one-off prototypes and product development through to small and medium production runs.
Responsibilities
- Programme, set and operate Haas CNC lathes and milling machines.
- Create and optimise CNC programmes using Fusion 360 CAM.
- Manufacture components from engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
- Produce prototype and production components to tight tolerances.
- Select tooling, workholding and machining strategies.
- Inspect completed parts using precision measuring equipment.
- Assist with process improvements and cycle time reduction.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance.
Essential Requirements
- Previous CNC turning and milling experience.
- Ability to programme CNC machines independently.
- Experience using Fusion 360 or similar CAM software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of tooling, speeds, feeds and machining strategies.
- Experience with precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
Desirable Skills
- Haas machine experience.
- Live tooling and Y-axis turning experience.
- Fusion 360 CAD experience.
- Experience machining stainless steel, aluminium and engineering plastics.
- Experience with product development and prototyping.
Hours & Pay
- Part-time role.
- Flexible working hours - not shift based.
