Job description
As Paid Media Manager, you will be responsible for leading the strategy, performance and development of paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta and LinkedIn. You will work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure paid activity supports wider business goals and delivers a strong return on investment.
This role requires someone who can think beyond platform metrics, translating performance data into commercial insights and actionable recommendations. You will act as a subject matter expert, helping shape campaign direction, identify opportunities and support the development of the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead paid media strategies aligned with client business objectives and commercial goals
- Oversee the planning, implementation and optimisation of campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta and LinkedIn
- Take ownership of campaign performance, budgets and profitability, ensuring client objectives are achieved
- Analyse performance data and provide strategic recommendations to improve results and maximise ROI
- Lead proactive reviews of client accounts, identifying risks, opportunities and future growth areas
- Work closely with Account Managers to provide clear strategic direction and support client retention and growth
- Present performance insights, recommendations and strategic plans to clients and internal stakeholders
- Provide commercial guidance on budget allocation, forecasting and performance expectations
- Stay ahead of industry developments, platform changes and emerging opportunities, sharing knowledge with the wider team
- Support and mentor junior members of the paid media team, helping to develop skills, knowledge and best practice
- Collaborate with SEO, Content, CRO and Web teams to ensure integrated marketing strategies
- Review customer journeys and conversion performance, identifying opportunities to improve lead quality and conversion rates
- Support new business opportunities through audits, account reviews and strategic recommendations
- Manage Google Merchant Center accounts and support eCommerce campaign growth where required
Requirements:
- Proven experience managing PPC and paid media campaigns in an agency or similar fast-paced environment
- Strong experience across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, with experience in Meta and LinkedIn advertising desirable
- Demonstrable experience developing and delivering paid media strategies
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to align marketing performance with business objectives
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Confident presenting insights and recommendations to clients and stakeholders
- Experience managing multiple clients, priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Experience with conversion rate optimisation (CRO), landing pages and customer journey analysis would be beneficial
- Experience mentoring or supporting other team members would be advantageous
