Job Title: Senior Business Intelligence Analyst
Role Summary
This position combines data engineering, semantic modelling, and analytics delivery, and is responsible for creating reliable and high-performing reports used throughout the business.
Experience & Qualifications

Technical proficiency in BI, analytics engineering, or data engineering roles.

Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience and certifications.

Experience delivering BI solutions in complex, legacy data landscapes is essential.
Core Responsibilities
-
Design and implement end-to-end Power BI solutions, including data ingestion, semantic models, dashboards, paginated reports, and apps.

Develop and maintain robust Power BI semantic models featuring clear logic, reusable measures, and strong performance.

Work effectively in legacy environments to enhance data quality, simplify models, and update reporting processes.

Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver analytics that are trusted, high-performing, and essential for decision-making.
Technical Skills & Experience
-
Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.

Power BI
-
Experience implementing and managing Row Level Security (RLS), Object Level Security (OLS), and role-based access.

Expertise in DAX (performance-optimized, reusable logic), Power Query, and transformations.

Experience with dashboards and interactive reports and creating paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder.

Azure Data Factory (or Fabric equivalents) and pipelines

£50,000 per annum

40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 08.30 -17.00 (40 hours a week)
