AI Solutions Expert
Location: Bournemouth (Office Based - 5 Days Per Week)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
About Us
Loans by MAL is a fast-growing consumer finance business providing personal loans from £1,000 to £5,000 across the UK. We utilise Aryza as our CRM platform, AWS for data storage and infrastructure, and a JavaScript-based website to support our customer journey.As we continue to invest heavily in AI and automation, we are looking for an AI Solutions Expert who can use AI to rapidly design, build and deploy business solutions that would traditionally require software development teams.
The Role
This is not a traditional software developer role.We are looking for someone who has a proven track record of using AI to replace or significantly reduce the need for traditional software development resources.You must be able to demonstrate real-world examples of projects where you have used AI tools, AI agents, automation platforms and AI-assisted development to deliver solutions faster, cheaper and more effectively than conventional development approaches.You will work directly with senior management to identify opportunities, build solutions and implement change across the business.
What We're Looking For
We are specifically interested in candidates who can demonstrate practical examples of using AI to deliver projects such as:
- Customer application journey improvements and website enhancements
- API integrations between internal and third-party systems
- Marketing function development and automation
- A/B testing and split-testing frameworks
- AI-powered live chat services and customer support tools
- Web and mobile application development
- Workflow automation and operational efficiency projects
- Business intelligence dashboards and reporting solutions
Candidates should be prepared to explain:
- The business challenge
- The solution they built
- The AI tools used
- How AI reduced or replaced traditional software development effort
- The commercial outcome delivered
Key Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities to deploy AI across the business
- Build and deploy AI-powered business solutions
- Create and maintain AI agents and workflow automations
- Develop application journey improvements and customer-facing functionality
- Design and implement API integrations
- Build marketing automation and optimisation tools
- Develop AI-powered live chat and customer service solutions
- Create dashboards, reporting tools and business intelligence solutions
- Work with Aryza CRM, AWS data sources and internal systems
- Rapidly prototype, test and deploy new ideas
- Train and support colleagues in the use of AI tools and automation
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Proven experience delivering business solutions using AI-first development approaches
- Strong experience with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, Windsurf or similar AI development tools
- Demonstrable examples of using AI to reduce or replace traditional software development requirements
- Experience building applications, integrations and automations
- Strong understanding of APIs and system integrations
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
- Commercial mindset focused on delivering measurable business outcomes
Desirable
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with Aryza or CRM platforms
- Experience with JavaScript and Python
- Experience with Make, Zapier, n8n or similar automation platforms
- Experience building AI agents and autonomous workflows
- Experience within financial services or regulated industries
