Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CQC Registered Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of our domiciliary care services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and person-centred care, maintaining full compliance with CQC regulations, and driving continuous service improvement. This role requires exceptional leadership, operational management, and a passion for delivering outstanding home care that enables clients to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the domiciliary care service, ensuring full compliance with CQC regulations, legislation, and company policies.
Ensure the service consistently delivers safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led care in line with CQC standards.
Manage, support, and develop the care team, including recruitment, induction, supervision, training, appraisals, and performance management.
Oversee the assessment, planning, implementation, and regular review of personalised care plans, ensuring they reflect each client's individual needs, preferences, and outcomes.
Ensure safe medication management practices are followed by all care staff.
Monitor care quality through spot checks, audits, observations, client feedback, and quality assurance processes.
Manage care packages efficiently, ensuring continuity of care and effective staff scheduling.
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance systems using digital care management platforms where applicable.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, families, local authorities, NHS professionals, commissioners, and other healthcare partners.
Investigate incidents, complaints, and safeguarding concerns, ensuring appropriate actions are taken and lessons are learned.
Participate in the management on-call rota, providing out-of-hours operational support for clients and care staff, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
Support business growth by maintaining excellent service standards and contributing to the development of new care packages and community partnerships.
Manage budgets, resources, and service performance to achieve operational and financial objectives.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a domiciliary care setting.
Current or eligibility to become a CQC Registered Manager.
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to complete if appropriate).
Thorough understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards, Health and Social Care legislation, safeguarding, and regulatory compliance.
Proven experience managing domiciliary care services and leading high-performing care teams.
Strong knowledge of person-centred care, medication management, risk assessments, and care planning.
Excellent leadership, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing staff recruitment, retention, performance, and training.
Ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, commissioners, and healthcare professionals.
Competent IT skills and experience using electronic care planning and rostering systems.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
