Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Car Painter & Body Repair technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert painting and bodywork techniques. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of vehicle structures, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking prior to painting or repairs
- Apply paint, primer, and clear coats with precision using spray guns and other tools
- Repair or replace damaged body panels, frames, and structural components as needed
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform dent removal, panel alignment, and other bodywork tasks
- Conduct inspections to ensure repairs meet safety standards and quality expectations
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs efficiently and effectively
Requirements
- Proven experience in car painting and body repair or a relevant apprenticeship programme
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle structures and repair techniques
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as hammers, dollies, sanders, and paint sprayers
- Experience with power tools including grinders, drills, and pneumatic tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large panels or equipment
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
