Kennels & Cattery Assistant – Please Read Before Applying
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking person to join our team caring for dogs and cats in a busy kennel and cattery environment.
This is a hands-on role that involves physical work and a strong commitment to animal welfare. The animals in our care rely on us every day of the year, so reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude are very important.
The Role
We care for a large number of dogs and cats daily, and the role involves supporting their daily routines and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Cleaning kennels, runs and litter trays to maintain high hygiene standards
- Feeding and caring for dogs and cats
- Exercising dogs and supporting their daily routines
- Handling dogs of different sizes and breeds
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Speaking with customers both in person and on the phone
- Supporting the team during busy periods
The role can be physically demanding and involves being on your feet for most of the day, but it is also very rewarding for someone who enjoys working with animals.

- Confident handling dogs, including larger breeds and strong dogs

Hours
This is a part time position to include every weekend and occasional days in the week if needed
8:00am – 4:30pm (including a 30 minute unpaid break)
Please note we are not on a public transport route so you must be able to drive
Essential Experience
- Previous experience with dogs
- Good customer service and confidence speaking on the phone
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to work proactively in a busy environment
