The Marsham Court Hotel has been making huge developments over the last few years, making it one of the most accessible and inclusive venues in the UK. With a focus on employee welfare, flexibility and creating a dynamic atmosphere, we pride ourselves on our amazing team. We have even won National and International Awards to prove it! We are one of the busiest venues in Bournemouth and our team love working with the buzz and energy that comes with being a part of the Marsham Court family.

As one of our Night Porters you will:

Work during the night to ensure the hotel is safe and secure
Perform security checks throughout your shift
Serve our residential guests on the bar as required
Manage any late check-ins or early check-outs on the reception
Help to set-up functions and events for the following day

We are looking for people with the desire to learn and grow in an environment that encourages you to use your flare to deliver amazing experiences for our guests. We even have a dedicated Training & Development Manager focused on mentoring you and giving you the skills you need to succeed in your career, whether that be in hospitality or any other industry.

For this role we are ideally looking for candidates with some hotel experience, but this is not essential. As long as you have the willingness to learn and good transferable skills, we would love to hear from you. This is a night time role with shifts ranging from 11pm to 9am two or three days per week to include Sunday and Monday nights.

Some of the projects we are working on include:

New recycling and energy saving programmes
Mental health first aid qualifications for key team members
An increased social calendar to get our team together more often outside of work
A partnership with Bourne Free to deliver an event for the elderly LGBTQ+ community
A huge fundraising event for Dorset Children’s Foundation
