Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Maternity Cover Associate Dentist to join our reputable dental practice. This temporary position offers an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality dental care within a supportive environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence during the maternity cover period. Prior experience with CAD and anatomy knowledge is advantageous, along with familiarity with medical imaging techniques.

Duties

Conduct thorough dental examinations and assessments of patients’ oral health.
Develop and implement personalised treatment plans in collaboration with patients.
Perform a wide range of dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, and preventive treatments.
Utilise CAD technology for designing restorations and prosthetics as required.
Interpret medical imaging results to diagnose and plan appropriate treatments.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to safeguard patient and staff safety.
Provide advice on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to optimise patient outcomes.
Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure smooth practice operations.

Qualifications

Fully qualified Dentist registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
Proven experience in general dentistry, preferably within a NHS or private setting.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental practice.
Experience with CAD systems utilised in restorative dentistry is desirable.
Proficiency in interpreting medical imaging such as X-rays and other diagnostic tools.
Strong communication skills with the ability to reassure and educate patients effectively.
Organised, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Ability to work efficiently within a team whilst managing individual responsibilities professionally. This role offers an engaging environment for a committed dentist seeking temporary maternity cover, with opportunities to utilise advanced digital tools and develop further clinical expertise within a supportive team setting.
