Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in horticulture and landscape maintenance, with experience in gardening and the use of various tools. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors, contributing to the creation and upkeep of beautiful, healthy green spaces. The successful applicant will be organised, reliable, and enthusiastic about working in a hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain and care for gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas to ensure they are healthy and visually appealing
Use hand tools such as spades, pruners, and rakes for planting, trimming, and general maintenance
Operate power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers safely and efficiently
Install and manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
Assist with planting new flora, shrubs, trees, and seasonal displays
Conduct regular landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, and fertilising
Monitor plant health and identify pests or diseases for appropriate treatment or reporting
Collaborate with team members to plan garden layouts and optimise space utilisation

Requirements

Proven experience in gardening or horticulture is highly desirable
Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices and techniques
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems
Knowledge of plant growth cycles and garden design principles
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions whilst maintaining safety standards
Organised with good attention to detail to ensure high-quality garden upkeep
Physical fitness to perform manual labour including digging, lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
A genuine interest in gardening and landscape aesthetics is essential
