Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Salaried General Practitioner (GP) to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive medical care across a variety of settings, ensuring high standards of patient care and clinical excellence. This role offers an opportunity to work within a supportive environment that values professional development and collaborative practice. The position is salaried, providing stability and consistency for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough consultations with patients, assessing their medical histories and current health concerns
Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions across diverse patient populations
Prescribe medications and treatment plans in accordance with current guidelines
Perform clinical procedures including medication administration, minor wound care, and basic diagnostic tests
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on patient management, including nursing staff, specialists, and allied health professionals
Engage in clinical research projects to contribute to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement
Provide specialised care in areas such as ICU, senior care, hospice, home care, or nursing homes as required
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with legal and organisational standards
Participate in continuous professional development activities to stay current with medical advancements

Requirements

Fully qualified GP registered with the General Medical Council (GMC)
Proven experience in primary care settings with additional expertise in areas such as ICU, public health, or specialised fields like medical imaging or anatomy knowledge preferred
Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards diverse populations including elderly and vulnerable groups
Experience in medication administration, nursing home environments, senior care, hospice care, or home care is advantageous
Knowledge of clinical research methodologies and public health initiatives is desirable
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
Committed to maintaining high standards of clinical practice and patient safety
Ability to adapt to different clinical environments and handle complex cases efficiently
