Brief2Event provide professional, bespoke event services to the association and corporate market, creating a complete solution to help planners deliver successful events. We supply everything from virtual/hybrid platforms to venue and accommodation booking services and full event management.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced event manager to head up our live events team. Working with a range of clients on events of all shapes and sizes, throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.

You will oversee a team of 2, with overall responsibility for the event lifecycle, from quotes and proposal creation, to pitching, planning and on-site delivery. Working alongside our venue finding and accommodation teams, you will create truly bespoke solutions for our clients.

Key responsibilities include:

Oversee all client projects for live events and supplier bookings

Quote and proposal creation and management using a number of software tools

Conduct demo calls with clients to showcase our offerings and technology

Manage and grow client relationships

Maintain effective, regular communication with both clients and suppliers

Ensure projects are working to time and budget requirements

Ensure revenue is correctly captured and tracked for forecasting purposes

Full project and budget management

Onsite event management where required (predominantly UK with some overseas travel required)

Create and manage event technology platforms - apps, registration sites, abstract management

Supplier management – maintaining a preferred supplier list and negotiating commission

Manage a team of 2 Event Consultants

Weekly reporting of figures

Work with the wider team to facilitate and encourage upsell opportunities

Support with tenders as and when required

Essential skills required:

High standard of IT skills
Knowledge of event platforms e.g. Cvent, CrowdComms
Knowledge of quoting software such as Qondor would be advantageous
Strong attention to detail and project management skills
Customer service focussed
Creative and confident in proposing ideas
Ability to work well under pressure and multi task
Previous experience in a similar role delivering corporate events is essential, ideally within an agency

Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 9am – 5.30pm, Friday 9am – 5pm
Place of work: Chippenham office

Whilst this is a full time position, we may consider a slightly shorter working week and/or different working hours for the right candidate.
