Stokes Sauces is looking for a practical, reliable, and hardworking General Maintenance Person to join our team at our Rendlesham site.
This is a varied, hands-on outdoor role, supporting general maintenance across the Stokes Sauces site and estate grounds. The role will involve helping with garden maintenance, fencing, grass cutting, painting, keeping the site tidy, general outdoor upkeep, and assisting with the care and feeding of animals on site.
The successful candidate must enjoy working outdoors, must be a genuine lover of animals, have a good attitude, and be a strong team player.
The Role
You will report to the Lead General Maintenance Manager and support with a range of outdoor maintenance duties across the site.
Duties will include:
- Assisting with general maintenance across the site and estate grounds.
- Supporting with garden duties, including weeding, tidying, planting, pruning, and general upkeep.
- Cutting grass and maintaining outdoor areas.
- Helping with fencing repairs and general site improvements.
- Carrying out painting and basic maintenance tasks.
- Keeping the site clean, tidy, safe, and well maintained.
- Assisting with looking after the animals on site.
- Feeding animals and helping to keep animal areas clean, safe, and well maintained.
- Reporting any maintenance issues or health and safety concerns.
- Working positively with colleagues and supporting the wider team when required.
- Carrying out other general outdoor maintenance duties as required.

- Previous experience in maintenance, gardening, groundskeeping, farming, estate work, or a similar role would be an advantage, but the right attitude is just as important.
Hours and Pay
- 40 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday.
- £14.00 per hour.
