We are looking for a Housing Management Assistant on a 12-month fixed term contract, full-time basis. As a Housing Management Assistant you will have excellent customer engagement and communication skills. You will bring relevant knowledge and be able to clearly explain options, supporting customers through a holistic assessment of their needs. You will have experience of working in an office environment and undertake a range of administrative tasks. You will also be able to manage conflicting deadlines, prioritise your workload and use your time and resources effectively.
The Housing Management Team provides a busy, responsive property management service for homeless clients placed in temporary accommodation. Sitting within the Welfare and Housing Service, the team works closely together to achieve the right outcomes and deliver a holistic service to clients who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. You will be involved in varied and meaningful work every day.
Each day brings new challenges and you will play an important role in responding to the needs of vulnerable homeless clients living in temporary accommodation. You will help ensure our accommodation meets health and safety regulations and remains safe, secure and suitable for our customers. We want our clients to feel supported, settled and able to get back on their feet as quickly as possible.
- Provide proactive support to the accommodation team and housing management officers with daily aspects for customer service and temporary accommodation.
- Work directly with PRS Acquisition and Move-on Officers with the administration around external accommodation provision.
- Supporting households to raise and report issues whilst in temporary accommodation such as repairs or change in circumstances.
- Work with partners, landlord and accommodation providers to obtain property compliance and standards information.
- Work directly within the housing management team responsible for temporary accommodation to provide administrative support with procurement of accommodation at short notice.
- Provide a first point of call service with incoming and outgoing telephone duties.
